Peter Obi Will Not Allocate Fuel Subsidy to Governors

Theo Abu Agada, the Director of New Media and Strategic Communications for the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), asserted that the party's presidential candidate, Peter Obi, will not distribute funds from the fuel subsidy to state governors, contrasting with the approach of President Bola Tinubu's administration. Agada criticized Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), for proposing a return of the fuel subsidy, stating that Obi would not revive the oil cabals that profited from the previous regime.

He emphasized that Obi's administration would ensure that the funds from the fuel subsidy are used for building quality schools, healthcare facilities, and creating jobs for Nigerians. Agada highlighted Obi's consistent stance against the subsidy and his commitment to transparent management of the subsidy regime, stating that the funds would benefit the Nigerian populace rather than state governors.
