Petralon Energy Boosts Dawes Island Oil Production by 2,800 Bpd

Petralon Energy has successfully raised oil production at the Dawes Island field by 2,800 barrels per day (bpd), achieving first oil within six months of operations. The company, through its subsidiary Petralon 54, commenced production on March 14, 2026, delivering an average additional daily production of approximately 2,800 bpd.

This increase brings the field's combined production capacity to approximately 4,800 bpd. The company began drilling operations on October 18, 2025, and has reported zero lost time incidents, reflecting its commitment to world-class health, safety, and environmental standards.

The Dawes Island field, located about 15 kilometers from Port Harcourt in the eastern Niger Delta, covers roughly 46 square kilometers and holds an estimated 17.6 million barrels of recoverable oil. Petralon 54 holds a 100 percent working interest in the field, which it acquired in 2021, and has exported 350,000 barrels of oil via the Bonny Oil Terminal, located 30 kilometers from the field.
