Fuel Scarcity Worsens in Abuja as Dangote-PENGASSAN Clash Continues

The petrol black market in Abuja is thriving as filling stations remain shut due to a clash between Dangote and PENGASSAN. The strike led by the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association (PENGASSAN) has caused many fuel stations, including NNPC outlets, to close.

This situation has resulted in long queues and opportunistic touts demanding bribes from motorists for quicker access to fuel. Despite some major stations selling fuel, the scarcity has forced drivers to turn to the black market for petrol.

PENGASSAN members have been blocking entrances to key petroleum regulatory offices, accusing Dangote Refinery of unfair labor practices and spreading false claims.
