House Committee Invites National Security Adviser on PFIPC

The ad hoc committee of the House of Representatives, led by Chairman Yusuf Gagdi, has summoned the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) to provide information regarding the unestablished Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC). This action follows submissions from Dr.

Dunoma Umar Ahmed, Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who indicated that the Ministry had reached out to the ONSA on October 16, 2025, seeking clarification on Prince Adeyemi's status as Director-General of the PFIPC. Gagdi expressed concern that the ONSA was established in November 2025, yet the alleged Director-General and the council itself were not recognized.

He emphasized the committee's responsibility to investigate further and questioned what actions the ONSA had taken regarding the matter, especially given the correspondence from the suspended Director-General that suggested potential foul play and discrepancies.
