Reps Declare Adeniyi Adeyemi's Appointment Letter Fake

The House of Representatives ad hoc committee investigating the alleged operations of the Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) has labeled the appointment letter received by Adeniyi Adeyemi, who claims to be the Director-General, as fake. During the probe in Abuja, committee Chairman Yusuf Gagdi stated that Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, confirmed that the documents presented by Adeyemi were not authentic.

Gagdi indicated that the appointment letter and the Act presented were both established as forgeries. The Head of the Civil Service appeared before the committee for the second time, following her earlier invitation.

Additionally, Deputy Commissioner of Police Olufemi Akinola and Assistant Commissioner of Police Bashir Abdullahi represented the Inspector-General of Police at the session. As of the report's filing, Adeyemi had not yet appeared before the committee.

The committee had previously described the establishment and operation of the PFIPC as a serious breach and instructed the Inspector-General of Police to produce Adeyemi within 48 hours.
