Presidency Disowns Fraudulent Appointment Linked to Adeyemi

The Nigerian Presidency, represented by Senior Special Assistant Temitope Ajayi, has declared a scandal involving Adeniyi Adeyemi as a pure scam. During an interview, Ajayi revealed that a purported appointment letter, which was presented on a fake Federal Government letterhead, lacked any legitimate contact number and was not issued by the President's Chief of Staff.

Ajayi clarified that the Chief of Staff's role is limited to conveying presidential approvals for appointments, and any document claiming otherwise is fraudulent. Adeyemi faces eight counts of conspiracy and forgery in the Federal High Court in Abuja, alongside two accomplices, following his arrest on October 27, 2025.

He allegedly operated 34 bank accounts linked to non-existent government bodies and is accused of exploiting the system. The case is set to continue on July 27, 2026, with Adeyemi maintaining that his appointment was genuine despite the allegations against him.
