18 APC Governors Support Uzodimma Amid Leadership Rumors

On a recent Friday, 18 governors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) convened in Imo State to express their unwavering support for Hope Uzodimma, the chairman of the Progress Governors Forum. This meeting was held amidst reports suggesting a potential leadership change within the forum.

The governors, including those from Ondo, Kaduna, Taraba, Sokoto, Ebonyi, Borno, Lagos, Kogi, Kano, Yobe, Kebbi, Benue, Jigawa, and Nasarawa States, reaffirmed their confidence in Uzodimma's leadership. The motion to support Uzodimma was moved by Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris, with Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani serving as the deputy chairman.

Both Idris and Sani dismissed claims of a crisis within the forum, emphasizing that the APC remains united and focused on the upcoming primaries. The meeting concluded with a commitment to uphold the party's integrity and leadership.
