PGF Denies Rumors of Uzodinma's Removal as Chairman

The Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) issued a statement on Friday denying claims that Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma had been removed as chairman of the group. Folorunso Aluko, the director general of the forum, clarified that there had been no meeting or resolution leading to such a decision.

The PGF described the circulating reports as false and misleading, asserting that there was no record of any agreement concerning Uzodinma's removal. The statement responded to rumors that suggested 20 governors had convened in Abuja to discuss replacing Uzodinma shortly after submitting a presidential nomination form for Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The forum reaffirmed its commitment to unity and its ongoing responsibilities, dismissing the online speculation as unfounded.
