Obla Awards Scholarship to Idoma First Class Law Graduate

Chief Godwin Obla, SAN, has fulfilled his pledge to sponsor Ochanya, the first female of Idoma extraction to graduate with a first class from the Nigerian Law School, for her postgraduate studies abroad. Through the Godwin Obla Foundation, Obla has paid £33,000 in tuition for Ochanya's LLM in Artificial Intelligence and the Law at Queen Mary University of London, with the payment made directly to the university.

Additionally, ₦25 million has been deposited into Ochanya’s personal account for her upkeep during her studies in the United Kingdom. This promise was made less than a year ago during a reception in Otukpo organized by the Association of Idoma Lawyers.

At the Abuja presentation ceremony, Obla emphasized the importance of creating opportunities for the Idoma community and encouraged Ochanya to support others in the future. He also mentioned that she would be introduced to members of the Idoma community in the UK for guidance.
