Kwankwaso Welcomes APC Defectors to NDC in Kano

On Sunday, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, the vice-presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and former governor of Kano State, welcomed a group of defectors from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Madobi Local Government Area into the NDC. In a statement on his official X account, Kwankwaso expressed his delight at the new members joining the party, stating, “I warmly welcomed them into our fold and assured them of fair and comfortable positions within our party.” The event showcased a large crowd of supporters, many wearing red caps associated with the Kwankwasiyya movement, indicating the NDC's efforts to expand its support base in Kano State as the 2027 general elections approach.
