Kano NDC Members Plan Defection to APC Amid Support for Yusuf

Members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in Kano State, particularly those aligned with Nasiru Gawuna, are reportedly preparing to return to the All Progressives Congress (APC). This movement gained traction following a meeting on Tuesday night with Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf and his deputy Murtala Garo.

The delegation, led by Muhammad Umar, included notable NDC figures such as Ali Datti Yako, Mansur Gawuna, and Uba Mijinyawa. During the meeting, Umar articulated the group's commitment to contributing to the development of Kano State, emphasizing their desire to support initiatives that benefit the populace.

Yako praised Governor Yusuf's administration for its visible efforts in transforming Kano State. Gawuna, who was the APC candidate in the 2023 governorship election, lost to Yusuf, who represented the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP).
