NAF Airlifts Election Materials for Ekiti Polls

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) conducted an operation to airlift sensitive electoral materials for the upcoming Ekiti State governorship election and several by-elections scheduled for June 20, 2026. The operation took place on June 15 and 16, following a request from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to ensure the secure and timely movement of these materials from Abuja to designated locations across the country.

Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodam, the Director of Public Relations and Information, stated that the NAF deployed its airlift capabilities to transport materials to various states, including Enugu, Rivers, Kano, and Kebbi. Chief of Air Staff Air Marshal Sundai Kelvin Anek commended the personnel involved for their professionalism and dedication, emphasizing the NAF's commitment to supporting democratic institutions and processes.
