Ekiti Governor Oyebanji Provides 100 Vehicles to Security Agencies

On September 21, 2026, Ekiti State Governor Biodun Oyebanji distributed 100 operational vehicles to security agencies in the state, including the Nigeria Police, Nigerian Army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and the Department of State Security. This initiative aims to strengthen security operations, improve rapid response to emergencies, and enhance the mobility of security personnel.

In his address, Oyebanji highlighted the importance of these vehicles in addressing the agencies' recurring demands for better mobility and operational efficiency, particularly in light of the upcoming inauguration ceremony and elections. He urged the security agencies to increase patrols and maintain strategic visibility, stating, “To whom much is given, much is expected.” The governor reaffirmed his administration's commitment to supporting security agencies with necessary resources and called for collaboration among agencies to ensure collective security.

This distribution follows previous interventions, including patrol vehicles and security equipment provided to these agencies.
