PIGD Applauds Mutfwang's Livestock Revolution in Plateau

The PIGD (Plateau Initiative for Growth and Development) praised Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang for his visionary economic strategies aimed at revolutionizing the livestock sector in Plateau State. The initiative includes the establishment of a groundbreaking ultra-modern abattoir in Heipang, capable of processing 500 cattle per day, and a veterinary teaching hospital in Barkin Ladi Local Government Area.

Nengak David, the national coordinator of PIGD, stated that these projects mark a significant moment in the administration's efforts to reposition Plateau State as a major agro-industrial hub for livestock processing. The abattoir is designed to replace unhygienic slaughter practices with modern, automated systems that enhance public health and attract private investment.

PIGD emphasized the importance of these developments in creating jobs, improving food safety, and expanding market access, urging local communities to support the initiatives and calling on investors to partner in the livestock sector.
