PINL Reports 1.53m BPD Oil Output Amid Security Boost

Pipeline Infrastructure Nigeria Limited (PINL) announced that its intensified security measures around the Trans Niger Pipeline (TNP) have resulted in a stable oil output of 1.53 million barrels per day, the highest since 2026, surpassing the OPEC production quota of 1.5 million barrels. Dr. Akpo Mezeh, the General Manager of PINL, highlighted that reliable infrastructure contributes significantly to government revenue and energy security, fostering investor confidence.

The TNP, a crucial 180-kilometer oil and gas transport system in the Niger Delta, has been pivotal in delivering crude to the Bonny export terminal with an operational capacity of 180,000 barrels per day. During a stakeholder meeting in Port Harcourt, traditional rulers from Rivers, Imo, and Abia States called for greater institutional support for companies to maintain pipeline operations.

Engr. Akponim Omojewvh, head of field operations for the Eastern Corridor at NNPCL, urged communities to report suspicious activities to protect the corridor.
