Nigerian Army Finance Corps Enhances Troop Morale

The Nigerian Army Finance Corps (NAFC) is pivotal in sustaining operational effectiveness and troop morale within the Nigerian Army, especially in the face of insurgency, banditry, and terrorism. During the West African Social Activity (WASA) 2025 ceremony held on February 7, 2026, at the Arakan Cantonment in Apapa, Lagos, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu commended the NAFC for its critical role in maintaining troop welfare and operational success.

Major General Moham Abdullahi emphasized the importance of financial stewardship, noting that timely salary payments and welfare schemes directly motivate and discipline troops. The NAFC has achieved significant milestones, including ensuring that salaries for 2025 were fully paid by December, and welfare packages were settled beyond year-end financial obligations.

Major General Taofik Sidick highlighted the need for sober reflection on fallen colleagues and urged continued focus on advancing professional digitization and innovation within the army.
