Plane Assault: NCAA Speaks On Difference Between Kwam 1’s Case And Comfort Emmanson

The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has addressed the difference in handling the cases of Fuji musician, KWAM 1, and Comfort Emmanson in relation to airline assaults. NCAA's Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection, Adamu Achimugu, clarified that the authority does not prosecute airlines but rather leaves it to the court to determine the outcome.

In KWAM 1's case, he was investigated after allegedly refusing to surrender a flask suspected of containing alcohol on a ValueJet flight. The artist's indefinite ban was later changed pending further investigation.

On the other hand, Ibom Air chose to prosecute Emmanson based on available evidence. Achimugu emphasized the responsibility of cabin crew in ensuring passenger comfort, safety, and security.

The cases highlight the importance of swift action and adherence to regulations in such incidents.
