ADC's Bid to Stop INEC Recognition of Mark, Aregbesola Fails

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) failed in its attempt to stop the recognition of David Mark and Rauf Aregbesola by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The former ADC deputy national chairman filed an application at the Federal High Court in Abuja to halt INEC's recognition of Mark and Aregbesola as the party's leaders.

However, the court refused to grant the application and instead ordered the defendants to appear and show cause. This legal move comes amidst leadership disputes within the ADC, with conflicting reports on court actions.

The court's ruling has maintained the status quo within the ADC leadership.
