Plateau State Airlifts 1,138 Pilgrims for 2026 Hajj

Plateau State has successfully airlifted 1,138 intending pilgrims to Saudi Arabia as part of the 2026 Hajj exercise. Alhaji Daiyabu Dauda, the Executive Secretary of the Plateau Muslim Pilgrim Welfare Board, disclosed this information in a statement on Saturday.

The final batch of pilgrims departed from Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa International Airport in Bauchi via charter flight to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The board collaborated with relevant stakeholders to ensure adequate arrangements were made for a hitch-free exercise.

Alhaji Dauda expressed gratitude for the support and commitment of Governor Caleb Mutfwang towards the welfare of the pilgrims. He urged the pilgrims to abide by the laws and remain conscious of the spiritual significance of the Hajj, which is considered a holy pilgrimage.
