Rev Dachomo Alleges U.S. Troop Deployment Blocked in Plateau

Rev Dachomo, a prominent cleric in Plateau State, expressed alarm over the alleged obstruction of U.S. soldiers' deployment to the region, claiming that Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Adviser, is responsible for blocking this military assistance. This statement was made during the burial of seven individuals killed in an attack in Dorowa Babuj Village.

Rev Dachomo lamented that local residents are no longer fleeing but are prepared to defend themselves against attacks by armed Fulani groups. He further criticized the Nigerian security forces for their inability to protect the community, questioning why U.S. troops were reportedly deployed to northern states like Sokoto, Borno, Kaduna, and Bauchi but not to Plateau.

He suggested that there is a broader plan against Christians in Plateau State, as indicated by the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammadu Sa'ad Abubakar. Despite the criticism, he acknowledged that local security forces responded swiftly during a recent attack.
