Mutfwang Meets Stakeholders to Address Plateau Insecurity

On Thursday, Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State held a high-level security meeting at the Government House in Little Rayfield, bringing together former governors Simon Bako Lalong, Jonah David Jang, Joshua Chibi Dariye, and retired Rear Admiral Samuel Bitru Atukum, among other stakeholders. This meeting was convened in response to a recent surge in violence in the state, which has resulted in numerous deaths and property destruction.

Reports indicate that recent attacks have left a score dead, exacerbating the fragile security situation in the North Central region of Nigeria. During the closed-door meeting, participants conducted a comprehensive review of the security landscape and expressed deep concern over the sustained loss of lives and destruction of property.

They resolved to adopt a unified approach to tackle the crisis, emphasizing the need to promote peace and strengthen unity among residents while ensuring justice for victims of the attacks.
