Tinubu Invites Plateau Governor After 28 Deaths in Attacks

President Bola Tinubu has invited Plateau State Governor Caleb Mutfwang to Abuja for high-level discussions in response to recent attacks in Angwan Rukuba, Jo North Local Government Area, which resulted in the deaths of 28 individuals. The meeting, which took place on Tuesday, aimed to review the security situation and develop a coordinated approach to achieving lasting peace and security in the region.

Moham Idri, the Minister of Information, confirmed that the federal government is mobilizing troops and security agencies to respond to the incident and prevent further escalation. The Nigerian Armed Forces are conducting clearance operations in vulnerable communities following recent attacks.

Tinubu condemned the attacks as barbaric and cowardly, emphasizing that they will not go unpunished. He also urged security agencies to act proactively to prevent future incidents and ensure the safety of citizens.

The federal government is committed to identifying and apprehending the perpetrators of these heinous acts.
