Tinubu Orders 5,000 Cameras for Plateau State Security

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has directed the deployment of over 5,000 digital cameras across Plateau State to assist law enforcement agencies in combating insecurity. This decision was announced during his visit to Jos on March 29, where he expressed condolences to the victims of a recent gun attack in the Angwan Rukuba district.

The President instructed the Minister of Defence, the retired Chief of Army Staff, and the Inspector General of Police to investigate and bring the perpetrators to justice. The Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy will oversee the immediate installation of these security cameras in collaboration with the Plateau State government.

Tinubu lamented the violence and emphasized the importance of proactive measures to prevent future attacks. Governor Mutfwang expressed gratitude for the President's approval to recruit 1,000 forest guards to bolster state security efforts.
