Rep. Gagdi Loses APC Primary Election in Plateau State

Rep. Gagdi, the current chairman of the House of Representatives Standing Committee on Navy, lost his bid for re-election in the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary for the Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency.

The primary election results were announced by Mr. Daspan Ishaya, the chairman of the electoral committee, on Sunday.

Dr. John Tongshinen emerged as the winner, securing 29,968 votes, while Gagdi received 5,849 votes.

The primary was conducted across three local government areas within the constituency, with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) observing the process. This loss marks a significant political shift for Gagdi, who was seeking to retain his position.
