Plateau Security Forces Arrest Kidnappers, Recover N8m Ransom

Security operatives in Qua Pan Local Government Area, Plateau State, arrested two suspects linked to the kidnapping and murder of Alhaji Saidu Mamma's daughter. The kidnappers demanded a ransom of N8 million, which was paid.

The Executive Chairman of Qua Pan Local Government Council, Christoph Audu Manship, announced the arrests in a statement on Saturday, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy towards crime. The operation also successfully rescued Gambo Bello, who had been held captive for a week.

Bello recounted the ordeal, which involved gunfire between the kidnappers and security personnel. Manship commended the security agencies for their diligence and vowed to prevent criminal activities in the area.

This incident marks the third time kidnappers have been arrested and ransom recovered in Qua Pan. The chairman expressed gratitude to Plateau State Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang for support in strengthening security in the region.
