Plateau Suspected Kidnappers Arrested with N8m Ransom

In Plateau State, suspected kidnappers were arrested with N8 million in cash during a security operation aimed at combating crime. The operation was coordinated by joint security agencies and led to the rescue of a woman abducted by the suspects, identified as Waltu Watter and Sale Mamma.

These individuals are alleged to have killed Alhaji Saidu Mamma and kidnapped his daughter for ransom. The operation was confirmed on Saturday by Dr. Christoph Audu, the local government area chairman, who emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards crime in the area.

The N8 million ransom was recovered and returned to the family of the late Alhaji Saidu Mamma. Additionally, the operation resulted in the rescue of Mr. Gambo Bello, who had been kidnapped in Lafia LGA, Nasarawa State, and taken to the Pandam Game Reserve.

The local government chairman commended the security agencies for their professionalism and thanked Governor Caleb Mutfwang for supporting efforts to strengthen security in the area.
