Edo Police Arrest 113 Suspects in Major Kidnapping Raid

The Edo State Police Command conducted a significant operation early Thursday at 03:00 hours, resulting in the arrest of 113 suspects linked to kidnapping activities in Edo North and Edo Central. The operation was driven by credible intelligence and was part of a broader initiative led by Commissioner of Police Eno Ikoedem and Dare Agbonika, aimed at combating organized crime in the region.

A joint task force, comprising the Nigeria Police Force, Nigerian Army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, local hunters, and vigilante groups, executed the coordinated raid in the Zango settlement of Agbed Iruekpen. The police emphasized their commitment to relentless action against kidnapping networks, urging residents to remain vigilant and provide timely information.

The arrested suspects are currently undergoing profiling to ascertain their involvement in criminal activities, and those found culpable will face the full weight of the law.
