Edo Police Arrest Nine Suspects for Kidnapping, Cultism, and Robbery

The Edo State Police Command has apprehended nine suspects involved in kidnapping, cultism, and robbery in Benin City. The arrests were made following intelligence-driven operations conducted within the past week.

Notable successes were recorded, including the arrest of Emmanuel Omorodion and the alleged kingpin, Usifo Omojal, along with five others. The suspects were reportedly involved in criminal activities such as kidnapping, extortion, cultism, and violent acts.

The police also recovered weapons and other incriminating items during the operations. Investigations are ongoing to dismantle the entire network, and the suspects will be arraigned in court.

Additionally, the police responded to a distress call regarding an armed robbery incident, leading to the arrest of more suspects and the recovery of weapons. The Edo State Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring the safety of lives and properties in the state through sustained patrols and intelligence-led policing.
