Niger Police Arrest 147 Suspects in Major Raids
The Niger State Police Command arrested 147 suspects in separate operations aimed at dismantling criminal hideouts and addressing alleged thuggery across the state. On August 4, 139 suspects were apprehended in Suleja and surrounding areas following a violent rally.

In a subsequent operation on August 11, eight additional suspects were arrested in Minna, identified as Ashiru Sirajo, Aminu Mahmud, and Dadi Suleiman, among others, with various weapons recovered. Four more suspects were detained in Maitumbi during a coordinated raid.
All suspects were remanded in a correctional center.
