Oyo Police Arrest Three, Recover N31.75m Stolen Goods

The Oyo State Police Command arrested three suspects, Chigbo Mesoma (24), Erondu Wisdom (29), and Okechukwu Emmanuel (25), and recovered stolen goods worth N31.75 million. This operation followed a credible tip-off regarding an armed robbery incident involving a five-man gang in the Coca Cola area of Asejire, Ibadan.

The police, under the direction of Commissioner of Police Femi Haruna, acted swiftly, utilizing human intelligence and technological expertise to track the suspects in the Oko area of Ogbomoso. The recovered items included a Howo long vehicle with Lagos registration AAA 724 YJ, 2,000 bags of Karma Agric chicken feed, and a cutlass.

Commissioner Haruna commended the police for their professional dedication and expressed gratitude to the public for their cooperation, emphasizing the importance of community intelligence in combating crime. He assured that efforts would continue to apprehend remaining members of the notorious gang involved in high-profile robberies and hijackings.
