Police Arrest Four for Vandalism at Seplat Facility

On March 11, 2026, at 12:00 hours, police received a distress call from the security control room of Seplat Energy Company regarding a group of youths allegedly led by Jame Eshiet who were vandalizing the company's signpost and attempting to forcefully gain access to the facility. Upon police arrival, they discovered that the signpost had already been forcibly pulled down and destroyed.

The police operation, led by Baba Moham Azar, resulted in the arrest of four suspects from Mkpanak Village, while the alleged ringleader managed to flee. Azar condemned the vandalism and intimidation directed at corporate facilities, emphasizing that no individual or group has the right to resort to violence or destruction of property.

He advised youth groups to channel grievances through lawful means and warned that anyone engaging in vandalism or violence would face arrest and prosecution according to the law.
