Kaduna Police Arrest 41 Kidnappers, Rescue Seven Victims

The Kaduna State Police Command announced the arrest of 41 suspects linked to kidnapping and armed robbery, alongside the rescue of seven victims. State Commissioner of Police Rabiu Muhammad disclosed these achievements during a press briefing on Monday.

The operations, which took place between March and April 2026, were driven by intelligence gathering and strategic deployment. The police recovered 24 firearms, 200 rounds of live ammunition, and 50 rustled cows during this period.

Significant breakthroughs included the arrest of suspects involved in gunrunning in the Kagarko Local Government Area, where 20 Dane guns were recovered on April 7, 2026. Additionally, two suspects were apprehended on April 11 in Makarfi LGA, where they confessed to their involvement in kidnapping activities.

Ongoing investigations have led to further arrests, including Ali Usman on March 16 in Kachia LGA, who provided intelligence support to bandits.
