Bauchi Police Arrest Man for Alleged Defilement of Minor

The Bauchi State Police Command arrested 60-year-old Musa Garba for the alleged defilement of a nine-year-old girl in the Magama Gumau area of Toro Local Government. The arrest followed a complaint made by the victim's father, aged 47, on May 8, 2026, after the girl was allegedly lured to the suspect's hideout on May 7, 2026, at 4:00 PM.

CSP Nafiu Habib, the police spokesperson, disclosed that the suspect was swiftly apprehended after the report was received. During interrogation, Musa Garba allegedly confessed to the offense and admitted to committing similar acts against the victim on several occasions at different locations.

The victim was taken to a general hospital in Toro for medical examination and treatment. The police are conducting a discreet investigation and are working to apprehend any other suspects involved.

Sani Omolori Aliyu condemned the act and reaffirmed the command's zero-tolerance stance on crimes against children and sexual and gender-based violence.
