Ekiti Police Arrest Cattle Rustlers and Criminals in Successful Operation

The Ekiti State Police Command conducted a successful operation leading to the arrest of 17 suspects involved in various criminal activities such as cattle rustling, conspiracy, armed robbery, illegal baby factory operations, and maintaining criminal hideouts. The operation, led by Police Commissioner Joseph Eribo, resulted in the recovery of 558 rustled cattle, seven stolen vehicles, and other stolen goods.

Notorious cattle rustler and kidnapper Ibrahim Abubakar was apprehended on January 21, 2026, following credible intelligence. The police intercepted a suspect named Ogekor Tiresimi driving a stolen vehicle during the operation.

The suspects were involved in criminal activities across Ekiti, Kwara, and Kogi states. The Ekiti Police Command reaffirmed its commitment to combating crime and ensuring the safety of lives and properties.
