Police Arrest Child Trafficking Suspect in Abia State

The Abia State Police Command announced the arrest of Nnamdi Lazarus, a 51-year-old suspect involved in a conspiracy and child trafficking case. The arrest occurred following credible intelligence and was executed by the Violent Crime Response Unit in Aba North.

Nnamdi Lazarus, who is originally from Mbano in Imo State and currently residing in Uratta Aba, was found harboring six abducted children. All six children have been safely reunited with their families.

The police stated that investigations are ongoing to identify and apprehend other members of the child trafficking syndicate. Nnamdi Lazarus is expected to be charged in court once the investigations are concluded.

The police command reiterated its commitment to protecting lives and property through intelligence-led policing and assured residents that there would be no safe haven for criminals in the state.
