Police Arrest Woman with 13 Bags of Indian Hemp in Warri

On May 22, 2026, the Delta State Police Command's Quick Response Squad, led by spokesperson Bright Edaf, arrested a 57-year-old female suspect in Warri, located in the Warri South Local Government Area of Delta State. The arrest occurred during a stop-and-search operation along Esisi Road, where police intercepted a tricycle.

Upon searching the vehicle, officers recovered 13 nylon bags containing a substance identified as Indian hemp. The suspect was taken into custody in connection with the recovered exhibit.

Investigations are currently ongoing to determine the source and intended destination of the drugs.
