Kano Police Arrest Four Drug Trafficking Suspects in Cannabis Seizure Operation

The Kano State Police Command arrested four drug trafficking suspects in Kano, including Amadu Ado Salisu and Lurwanu, in possession of cannabis sativa. The arrests were made during patrols directed by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.

Two suspects were apprehended on January 25, 2026, with 157 parcels of cannabis sativa. Additionally, on January 24, 2026, two more suspects, Usman Hamisu and Auwal Abdullahi, were arrested with cannabis sativa and other related items.

The Rapid Response Team of the State Command conducted raids in identified black spots across Kano metropolis. The Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, urged residents to support security efforts and report suspicious activities to the police.
