NDLEA Arrests 19 in Kano Drug Bust During Ramadan

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Kano Strategic Command arrested 19 suspects and seized a wide range of illicit substances in Gezawa, Kano. The operation, disclosed by Assistant Superintendent of Narcotics Sadiq Maigatari, aimed to protect public health and preserve the sanctity of Ramadan.

The NDLEA dismantled several drug joints in the Gezawa community, recovering items such as cannabis sativa, diazepam, and other controlled substances. The operation was conducted based on credible intelligence from concerned community members.

The NDLEA's ongoing efforts, aligned with the directives of Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Brig Gen Mohammed Buba Marwa (retd), focus on combating drug trafficking and abuse across Nigeria. The agency encourages citizens to report suspicious activities to help ensure community safety and protect public health during Ramadan.
