Four Suspected Kidnappers Arrested in Ondo State

The Ondo State Police Command arrested four suspected kidnappers connected to a violent attack that occurred on January 26 along Liberty Avenue in Ilu Abo, resulting in the death of John Ofuduwa and the abduction of Oladeind Tomilola, who was later released. The operation, led by Police Public Relations Officer Abayomi Jimoh, involved collaboration with the Ondo State Security Network Agency, known as Amotekun Corp.

The suspects, identified as 20-year-old Abdullahi Ismaila, 25-year-old Babanyara Japi, 25-year-old Babuga Abubakar, and 15-year-old Adama Usman, were apprehended at a hotel behind Ado Garage in Akure. They were found in possession of 1,400,000 Naira, suspected to be ransom money.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects are members of a criminal syndicate operating around Eleyowo, Ilu Abo, and Ogbes areas. The police are continuing investigations to determine the suspects' involvement in other kidnapping incidents in the state.
