Ondo Police Arrest Man for Defiling Teenage Girl

Emmanuel Usman, a 23-year-old man, was arrested by the Ondo State Police Command's Gender-Based Violence Unit for allegedly defiling a teenage girl in Owo, Ondo State. The incident occurred on March 29, 2026, when Usman reportedly forcefully dragged the victim into his office located along Ijebu Quarter and engaged in unlawful sexual activity without her consent.

Following the incident, Usman allegedly threatened the victim with dire consequences if she disclosed the matter to anyone, attempting to intimidate her into silence. However, the victim bravely reported the case to the police, leading to Usman's swift arrest.

Abayomi Jimoh, the spokesperson for the Ondo State Police Command, confirmed the arrest and stated that the victim was taken to a general hospital in Owo for necessary medical care and psychosocial support. The police are committed to ensuring justice and will charge Usman in court upon the conclusion of their investigation, as emphasized by the Commissioner of Police, Adebowale Lawal.
