Niger Police Arrest Man with Gun and Camouflage in Bida

On Tuesday, the Niger State Police arrested 30-year-old Agada Isaac in Bida during a routine patrol near a temporary checkpoint. Officers noticed Isaac attempting to flee, which raised their suspicion.

Upon stopping him, they conducted a search that led to the recovery of a Beretta pistol. Further investigation at his residence uncovered military camouflage items, including a cap, knicker, and jacket.

During interrogation, Isaac reportedly confessed to being a member of a cult group known as "Vike" and claimed he purchased the pistol from an individual identified as Gideon, also known as "Starboi," for N300,000. The Niger State Police, represented by Public Relations Officer Wasiu Abiodun, confirmed that efforts are ongoing to arrest the alleged arms supplier and accomplices.

Isaac remains in custody as investigations continue.
