Kwara Police Arrest Notorious Cultist and Robbery Suspects

On April 19, 2026, the Kwara State Police Command reported a significant breakthrough in its crackdown on violent crime, leading to the arrest of notorious cultist Abdulazeez Isiaq, known as "Pumpin," and his accomplice Rilwan Moham. The arrests were prompted by reports of an armed robbery incident at Kabba Kajola Junction.

Following swift intelligence-driven operations, the police apprehended the suspects, who allegedly assaulted victims and forcibly took valuables, including an iPhone 13 and a Samsung A2. The suspects reportedly used an incomplete building as a hideout and threatened to kill victims to dispossess them of their belongings.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the suspects were members of the Eiye Confraternity and were linked to several cases of armed robbery and cult-related killings in Ilorin and its environs. The police assured residents of ongoing efforts to rid the state of criminal elements, and the suspects will be charged in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
