Ogun Man Arrested for Alleged Defilement of Teenager

The Nigeria Police Force confirmed the arrest of a 22-year-old man identified as Daniel for allegedly drugging and defiling a 15-year-old girl in Ogun State. According to Force Public Relations Officer Ani Iniedu, the suspect reportedly drugged the victim with a malt drink, leading her to lose consciousness, before engaging in unlawful carnal knowledge without her consent.

Following the incident, the victim was taken to the Olukoye Ransome-Kuti Memorial Hospital in Asero for a medical examination. Daniel is currently in police custody, and the case is being investigated by the State Criminal Investigation Department in Eleweran.

This arrest follows a previous case reported by PUNCH Metro, where a 50-year-old man named Saliu Akinwande was arrested for allegedly defiling an 11-year-old girl in the Agbado area of Ogun State.
