Ondo Police Arrest Man for Defiling 15-Year-Old Girl

The Ondo State Police Command arrested 27-year-old Solomon Onaola for the alleged defilement of a 15-year-old girl in Omifon, Odigbo Local Government Area. The incident was reported on August 2, 2026, by the victim's guardian at the Odigbo Divisional Police Station.

Following the report, the case was transferred to the Gender Based Offences Unit for a thorough investigation. Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim, who worked as a domestic help, had left home without permission multiple times, disclosing that Onaola had taken her to his late mother’s residence where he allegedly engaged in unlawful sexual intercourse with her.

The police commenced an investigation leading to Onaola's arrest. The victim is now under appropriate care, and the Commissioner of Police, CP Felix Ohagwu, has directed the Gender Based Offences Unit to ensure a comprehensive investigation.

The suspect remains in custody and will face charges upon the investigation's conclusion.
