Man Arrested for Allegedly Defiling Teenager in Ondo

A man has been arrested in Ondo State for allegedly defiling a teenage girl, as reported by the police. The case was initially reported at the Odigbo Divisional Police Station on August 2, 2026, by the victim’s guardian and was subsequently transferred to the Gender-Based Offences Unit for further investigation due to its sensitive nature.

Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abayomi Jimoh, stated that preliminary investigations revealed the teenage girl, who worked as a domestic help, had left home without permission on several occasions. Upon questioning, she disclosed that the suspect, identified as Onaola, had taken her to his late mother’s residence in Omifon, where he allegedly engaged in unlawful sexual intercourse with her.

Following the report, police operatives commenced an investigation and arrested the suspect. The Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, CP Felix Ohagwu, has directed a thorough investigation to ensure justice is served, reaffirming the Command’s commitment to protecting vulnerable members of society.
