Ondo Police Arrest Man for Defiling 15-Year-Old Girl

The Ondo State Police Command arrested 27-year-old Solomon Onaola for the alleged defilement of a 15-year-old girl in Omifon, Odigbo Local Government Area. The arrest followed a report made on August 2, 2026, by the victim's guardian at the Odigbo Divisional Police Station.

The report indicated that the girl, who was employed as a domestic help, had frequently left home without permission. Upon questioning, she disclosed that Onaola had taken her to his late mother’s residence, where he allegedly engaged in unlawful sexual intercourse with her.

Following the report, police operatives initiated an investigation, leading to the suspect's arrest. The victim is now under appropriate care, and the Commissioner of Police, Felix Ohagwu, has instructed the Gender Based Offences Unit to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure justice.

The police emphasized their commitment to protecting vulnerable members of society and urged the public to report suspected abuse cases. The suspect remains in custody and will be charged in court after investigations conclude.
