Rivers Police Arrest Murder Suspect, Exhume Victim's Body

The Rivers State Police Command arrested 29-year-old Robinson Uch in connection with the murder of 42-year-old Shedrack Ogadinma Chukwem. The arrest occurred at 7:30 AM on March 6, 2026, by the Anti-Cultism Unit in Emuoha, following a sustained investigation.

Uch reportedly confessed to participating in the crime, which took place on December 17, 2025, in the Igbo Etch Etch Local Government Area. He identified four other accomplices, including Chief Elijah Oker, who allegedly orchestrated the act.

During the investigation, Uch led police to the site where Chukwem's body was buried in a shallow grave. The body was subsequently exhumed and taken to a military hospital mortuary for autopsy.

Police efforts continue to apprehend the remaining suspects, including the alleged orchestrator, Chief Oker. Rivers State Police spokesperson Olugbenga Adepoju assured the public of their commitment to ensuring justice in this case.
