Security Guard Arrested for Stealing Spare Parts in Ogun

On May 30, 2026, the Ogun State Police Command arrested 32-year-old security guard Fridai Ayuba for allegedly stealing motor spare parts belonging to his employer in Ita Asu Village, Owode Egba. The arrest was made following a report received at 6:00 PM from the company manager, who informed the police that Ayuba had been apprehended by the Quick Response Squad while attempting to move company property without authorization.

Preliminary investigations revealed that Ayuba, an employee of the company, was found in possession of several motor spare parts, including four air control units, two air boosters, two engine seats, and two fuel pumps, which he unlawfully removed from the company's premises. The stolen items were recovered, and Ayuba reportedly admitted to the theft.

The police are continuing their investigation, and Ayuba will be charged in court upon its conclusion. CP Bode Ojajuni commended the company manager for their swift coordination with the police.
