Kano Police Arrest Six in GSM Market Attack Attempt

On Tuesday, the Kano State Police Command, led by CSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, announced the arrest of six suspects involved in an attempted attack on the GSM market in Kano. The incident occurred on a Monday during a political rally near the market, prompting distress calls that alerted the police.

Thugs mobilized to the Gyadi Gyadi neighborhood, leading to violent clashes. A patrol team was quickly deployed to the scene, where they encountered the thugs who were armed with dangerous weapons and stones.

The police successfully repelled the attackers, who fled towards the central market area while attempting to loot properties. The swift response of the police helped restore calm in the affected area.

Ibrahim Adamu Bakori, the state’s Commissioner of Police, commended the officers for their actions and warned against any form of thuggery that disrupts public peace. The police urged parents and guardians to caution their wards against criminal activities and assured that investigations are ongoing to apprehend any fleeing suspects.
