Six Arrested in Kano Clash Between Rival Groups

On Monday at 1:20 PM, the Kano State Police Command responded to a distress call regarding a violent clash between rival groups in the Gyadi Gyadi quarter. Police patrol teams were immediately deployed to the scene, where they encountered hoodlums engaged in a violent confrontation.

The suspects attempted to attack the police, who managed to repel the assault, prompting the attackers to regroup and attempt to loot properties in the area. Reinforcements were dispatched to the central market, leading to the dispersal of the suspects and the arrest of six individuals.

State Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Bakori praised the officers for their professional and swift response, which prevented further chaos and property loss. Bakori warned that any form of thuggery or disturbance of public peace would not be tolerated and advised parents to caution their children against criminal activities.

Ongoing investigations aim to apprehend additional suspects involved in the clash.
